The Botanical Gardens and Orchid House are located in Hervey Bay.
Hervey Bay's floral emblem is the Grevillea Banksil (Red Silky Oak). This flower is the main feature of the Botanical Gardens logo.
The Great Sandy Region Botanical Gardens are a unique icon of the region. With the world heritage listed Fraser Island nearby, the botanical gardens are both regionally and internationally significant. The 26 hectare property was established to display plants of the Wide Bay and the Great Sandy regions.
The botanic gardens continue to develop as an attractive and educational environment .... one in which the science of botany can be interpreted for the benefit and enjoyment of the community.
The gardens include:

- Aboriginal Bush Tucker Garden
